FAQ

Why did you decide to write your biography?

Like so many others, I was born into a home marked by hardship, but one where love, family, prayer, and hard work were deeply valued. With these values—and an inner attitude of resilience and courage—I was able to build a path of personal and professional success that others can also achieve if they are truly determined. That is why I decided to share my five-decade-long story, made up of pain and learning, successes and mistakes, falls and fresh starts, love and faith.

Writing my biography is a long-held dream that began to take shape during the COVID-19 pandemic, when I became aware of my own fragility and of the need to return to my goal of inspiring others through my story, whether by writing books or giving talks. The critical moment of health emergency and isolation created by the pandemic strengthened my purpose of “making a difference in people’s lives,” a purpose I have carried since childhood, when I dreamed of helping my parents have a better life. This book is part of that purpose.

What is the main message of the book?

I invite the reader to open their mind and heart, to look within themselves and change what no longer serves them. To follow my example: to connect with their heart more often, to pray (or meditate) daily, reconnecting with the Law of the Universe, because another reality is waiting for all of us.

Why launch it in the Northeast part of Brazil?

My beloved father, João Jovino de Souza, who recently moved on to another plane of life, was a courageous man from the Northeast. He came from Bom Jesus, in Macaíba, to São Paulo with nothing but his courage and boldness. Here he met my mother, built a beautiful family, and laid the foundation for his children to become people with strong ethical values—people who recognize the importance of faith and character, and of treating others the way we wish to be treated.

What was the writing process like?

It was challenging, transformative, and deeply rewarding. When I began writing, I was still feeling weak from the symptoms of COVID-19, but the desire to inspire others and to reframe my own past gradually strengthened me, and each day I began to feel more revitalized. At times, memories triggered buried emotions, but I relied on professional support to keep moving forward and to better understand my story. In total, it was nine months of uninterrupted writing, with the essential support of my husband and children.

Are there other projects related to the work “Heart, Prayer, and Action”? Do you intend to write other books?

Yes. This book is part of a larger movement I’m developing, which includes lectures and the launch of this and other books in Brazil, Latin America, and the United States. The second book is already in the works.

What message do you want to leave for people?

My invitation is for you to dare to be courageous. Step out of your comfort zone, cultivate your virtues, and bring out the best in yourself every single day. Remember, you are never alone—we are part of Something Much Greater. All it takes is opening your heart for this Force to begin manifesting in your life.

My goal is for all of us to reach the end of this journey without regrets, confident that we have aligned our lives with the Greater Law of the Universe—the same Law that brought us here.

So, fill your emptiness and insecurities with prayer, and reconnect with the Law of the Universe—God, however you choose to name it. We are always in the right place, surrounded by the right people—those who help us grow and become more conscious, compassionate, and collaborative human beings.

If you want to change, to move into a new phase of life, connect with your heart, with prayer, and with action. Put into practice what I call “Faith in Action.” You will begin to notice transformations happening both within you and around you. This could be the best year of your life. Believe it—and start today.
